ScrapHouse

Created for World Environment Day in San Francisco, the ScrapHouse was, just as it sounds, a house made out of scraps. But what scraps! Exterior walls shingled in street signs. Interior walls made of phonebooks, fire hoses, computer keyboards. A chandelier made from traffic signal discs. This is a really nice web site, and very inspiring, especially to those of us without a lot of money.

Jim Pinches, the local septic truck guy, and his truck turned over on the Boonville grade--fortunately, Jim "You got rohts!" Pinches is OK but scraps of a certain sort oozing from the truck have caused traffic along Boonville grade to be re-routed. Apparently the lid on the tank popped off. Who do you call to clean up the septic tank of a septic tank truck? This is the question being asked along 101, at Geigers, Park 'n Take It, Ardellas, PepperMill, the Chief. Jim's down at the moment.
